Call For Paper

The following specific subjects related to Asian water environment, especially in Southeast Asia, are selected as the topics.

• Appropriate technologies for water and sanitation
• Climate change and water environment management
• Emerging contaminants and environmental technology
• Health-related water issues
• Monitoring and modeling of water environment
• Water environment issues and sustainability
• Water environment policy
• Watershed management
• Water supply and treatment
• Wastewater treatment and management

Other topics related water environment are also welcome. Participation from Industrial sectors or NGO/NPO is also welcome.

Manuscript Template

Manuscripts for platform and poster presentations should be prepared according to the following templates.

Poster Presentation Template After acceptance, the panel for the poster should be A0 (841 mm (width) X 1189 mm (height))

Submission And Deadline

Please send the manuscript with “Manuscript submission form” to asiasympo2014[@]env.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp.
The manuscript should contain original data which have not been presented elesewhere.

Platform presentations : August 3, 2014
Poster presentations : September 14, 2014

All applicants will receive an acknowledgment via e-mail upon the submission of the manuscript. According to peer review by program committee, platform and poster presenters will be selected. The corresponding author of platform presentation will be informed of the result of the review by early September.

Presentation Guideline

Oral Presentation:

• Each oral presentation consists of 20 min of presentation followed by 5 min of discussion.
• Each conference room will be equipped with a laptop PC, a screen and a projector. Internet connection will not be available in conference rooms.
• PCs will be equipped with Microsoft Windows 7 and PowerPoint 2010. Fonts installed in laptops are only standard ones.
• Please bring your presentation file in a USB memory before your session starts. Please do not bring your presentation on a laptop as switching computers between presentations unduly delays processing.
• Send short CV for introducing yourself to Symposium Secretariat Office (asiasympo2014@env.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp) by 24 Nov.

Poster presentations:

• The size of poster board is 100cm width and 240cm height with stands. Please prepare your poster within A0 size.
• Allocate the top of the poster for the title, authors, and their affiliations as stated on the submitted paper. The text, illustrations, and so on should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters.
• Pushpins and stickers will be provided for mounting posters.
• Please put the poster by noon on 27 Nov and remove it by noon on 28 Nov.
