[About the Speaker]
Prof. Tushara Chaminda completed his PhD in 2008 at UTokyo ('Characterization of organic ligands in urban wastewaters and analysis of heavy metal speciation in water environment'), and then worked as a post-doc fellow in ESC and RECWET until the end of 2011. He has been working in University of Ruhuna since 2012 and promoted to Professor in 2021.
At this seminar, he will mainly talk about the micropollutants and antibiotic-resistant microorganisms in Sri Lanka. He will also introduce his current and future research collaboration with Japanese researchers.
